Stunning 1976 Porsche 911 2.7 superbly finished in Porsche period silver with Martini racing colours to Stuttgart museum specification. The car pays homage to the Targa Floria Florio winning number 8 car.
The car has undergone a full restoration to bringing it to this superb 911 we have today with superb paintwork that is entirely hand-airbrushed, making it a truly spectacular finish.
The car was ‘in-paint’ for 6 months at substantial cost with a highly regarded classic car restorer. The Turbo arches were added in the 80’s by Porsche ( OEM ) And have been lead-seamed.
The car was subject to an extensive 12 month restoration to the body engine and gearbox.
The addition of a front and rear RSR spoiler makes for a stunning looking 911.
The interior has been completed with new period racing seats and new headliner and a rare period Porsche steering wheel.
Prior to being purchased, parts invoices suggest a top-engine rebuild in 2011. The engine remains a 2.7, now fitted with brand new 36 mm PMO carburettors with K&N top hat filters, SSI RSR headers, and SSI exhaust. All making for great performance, and an unforgettable engine note. The car has been retro-fitted with a CDI Classic retro-fit ignition. An oil cooler has been added with Goodridge racing oil lines throughout. The car has been lightened significantly for performance and benefits from Porsche Turbo rear struts, Porsche Boxster S callipers at the front and Carbon12 rear turbo tie rod ends. The car comes with Fuchs alloys. A set of 4 x period gold lightweight split rim magnesium wheels (by separate negotiation). In addition there is a lightweight battery.
There are many receipts and restoration pictures are available. The restoration costs amounting to over £30k.
This car has been professional, beautifully and sympathetically restored and maintained by two huge Porsche enthusiasts. A unique, head-turning car, that drives superb and brings nothing more than excitement..
